Sitting in my living room, I notice that the room is bathed in a bright glow of sun light. All I want to do is head right out and feel the wind and the moving of life around me while soak up up the sun.
Not that it's going to happen.
It's been ages since there was sun, and most of it while I'm stuck in or rushing to work - it doesn't even linger when I finally get to head home.
Darkness, wind chill, freezing my ass off.
So instead of soaking up the sunlight on a relatively free weekend, I'm stuck struggling to force myself to run my errands and chores.
Isn't it great when sunshine suddenly becomes the fucking bane of my day...
And now we return to your regularly scheduled post
HELLO!
It's been a while...
Queue music:
Ok so clearly, I decided to take the month off - unintentionally.
It started with a SuperBowl weekend - which inadvertently became a "working-party hard-no sleep-get blizzarded-SuperBowl" weekend. Basically, it meant that I was home all of 8 hours that Saturday and Sunday.
Yeah, no way any posting/typing was going to happen.
And then it happened. It started out as a nondescript weekend, with laundry starting to pile up and the house needing to be cleaned. Of course knowing me, I put it off till later in the day since obviously I was still recovering from getting no sleep over the last weekend. Sleeping in, catching up on my reading, rolling out of bed to get some food, rolling back into bed - Priorities yo.
And then I opened up my computer to catch up on my emails and tv shows. That's when it happened. I was infected with a deadly virus.
Ok not a virus, but probably just as deadly... World of Warcraft.
With the aid of an infected acquaintance, I was sucked into the game, resulting in the subsequent immersion into the game.
Now I'd like to give myself a little bit of credit here. I am not quite as bad these days, probably because sometimes I'm just too tired to play. Or it's because I'm actually paying for it myself, so I'm not as gung-ho about getting all my month's worth out of the game ^_^.
I won't deny there have been some 6 hour straight sessions on my character. But hey, I'm still going to work, and I'm only behind on housework due to straight up laziness (which I should probably get a handle on :P ).
So that + the start of our first clinical trial at the company (plus all the hassle of getting ready for it... which is a ridiculous amount of work) = Not much time to write my posts. And of course the very next day I think of a post to work on, but have no time to work on it - go figure.
Hopefully, I'll get another post out for you guys sometime soon!
